BOOBoo

It was revealed recently that President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo had a boob job 20 years ago. This came to light after it was reported that there was a leak in the implants and PGMA had it fixed at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Alabang. This was allegedly the real reason why PGMA was confined at the said hospital and not for a self-quarantine which Malacañang officials initially announced. Of course, there was a strong denial when the report about the breast implants broke out. But just hours later, Malacañang turned around and admitted that the President did have a boob job in the 80's. They added, however, that it was not true that the President had it fixed. The real reason for PGMA's confinement was to take out a cyst in her breast. The mass was biopsied and turned out benign.

I have no problem about the President's past actions, but I do have a problem about the lying. It seems like it has become second nature to President Arroyo. What makes this issue more newsworthy is the possibility of public funds being used for the hospitalization. Don't you think that the people have the right to know where their tax money goes?
